Richard Haynes Boardwalk Playground

Cost: FREE

Age Range: ALL

This is a very small playground consisting of a slide, a swing, and a small climbing structure. It is located directly on the Richard Haynes Boardwalk. As a matter of fact, the boardwalk itself is a must-do in Barbados. Co-located with the playpark is a filtered water system where you can refill your water bottles!

Welchman Hall Gully Adventure Park

Cost:

  • Adult US$15 (Bds$30). Booklet included.

  • Children US$7 (5 to 12 years old). Under 4 years old free.

  • Locals (ID required)  US$10 (Bds$20) Children half price

Age Range: All

Nestled in the center of Barbados, Welchman Hall Gully is a natural wonderland waiting to be explored. Not only will you find a tropical hideaway with a diverse range of plant and animal species, but there is also an adventure park!

The Kid’s Adventure Park is an amazing place to let the kids play. It has a really cool playhouse and a zipline. There is also a rope swing, slack line, and tire swing. Bring a picnic and have lunch at the on-site picnic tables.

Farley Hill National Park Playground

Cost: $2 USD for parking

Age Range: 5+ This playground is not meant for very young children.

Farley Hill is located right across from the Barbados Wildlife Reserve, so feel free to spend the morning feeding monkeys and the afternoon having a picnic while the kid’s play on the play ground at Farley Hill.

Visiting Farley Hill National Park in Barbados is an absolute treat for families looking to combine a bit of history with a lush, scenic outing. Originally the site of a grand mansion built in the 19th century by Sir Graham Briggs, Farley Hill was once the epitome of opulence, hosting lavish parties and royal guests.

Batts Rock Playground

Cost: FREE

Ages: ALL (the equipment is for older kids, but the beach is for all)

This is a really nice beach front playground. It is located at one of the best beaches in Barbados. Come here to play, look for sea turtles, and have lunch at La Cabane! There are benches to sit and watch the kids. If they get sandy, they also have showers and toilet facilities.

ArtSplash and the Play Garden

Cost: Must Patron Artsplash

Ages: ALL

ArtSplash has a huge playground. Here you can get a delicious breakfast, lunch, or really great coffees. They have local art for sale in their lobby too!

The playground here is for all ages from big kids to toddlers. It even has baby swings! The playground also has picnic tables and they will bring your food out to you here. So, grab a coffee and let the kids play!

The Playground at Brighton Market

Cost: FREE

Ages: All

This playground is open during the Saturday morning Farmer’s Market at Brighton. Here there are little climbing gyms and a small playpark for all ages. The younger kids tend to play on the play places while the older kids like to play down in the gully next to the playpark.

Mimosas

Cost: Must be a Patron of Mimosas

Ages: Under 10

Mimosas is a beach front restaurant and bar located in the Saint Lawrence Gap. They have a full outdoor playground complete with swings, a baby swing, a play house and more. Inside they also have fun play area as well as many high chairs.

If you’re looking for a place to grab a meal and keep the kids entertained, this is such a great family friendly restaurant in Barbados! They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner!

Queens Park

Cost: FREE

Ages: ALL

The playground at Queen's Park in Barbados is nestled in the heart of Bridgetown. This well-maintained park offers a safe and vibrant play area equipped with swings, slides, climbing structures, and plenty of open space for kids to run freely. Be sure to take the kids over to see the ancient Baobab Tree co-located with the park.

Parents can relax on nearby benches while keeping an eye on their little ones, and the park’s beautiful gardens and historic bandstand add a charming backdrop to your visit.

Barbados Museum Children's Area

Cost:

  • Local adults pay $12BDS and local children between ages 5-17 pay $10BDS

  • Non Barbadians and adult visitors to the island pay $20BDS and children pay $10BDS.

  • Children under the age of 5 years are free of cost.

Ages: 3+

The museum has recently renovated their children’s area. It has several exhibits and is air conditioned. There is no children’s museum in Barbados, so this is the closet thing! The Barbados Museum is a great rainy day activity in Barbados. While not technically a playground, its a great thing to do if it’s raining!

King George V Memorial Park

Cost: FREE

Age: ALL

This park is home to a really nice playground. The children's play park features slides, swings and seesaws, and is well maintained by the National Conservation Commission. there are many picnic tables and facilities, so bring some snacks and spend the day here enjoying the park.

Rascals Water Park

Rascals Water Park is the perfect spot for families in Barbados! This park is an overwater inflatable obstacle course. Located at Brandon’s beach, Rascals Waterpark is the largest Aqua Park in the world and is a project 5 years in the making. It is designed for children and adults alike - the entire family will love Rascals Waterpark! How much does Rascals Cost? You can find the prices to spend a day at Rascals HERE.

How do you get out to the waterpark? They have a boat that ferries you back and forth or you can swim out! Rascals is the only Barbados water park.
